Recently, the people of Warrensburg were offered the gift of music in a beloved historic setting, the Old Johnson County Courthouse. My family and I enjoyed three of the four concerts sponsored by the Warrensburg Arts Commission through a grant from the Missouri Arts Council. Following the popular format of last fall’s New Harmonies weekly performances, Eddie Osborne organized and gathered local musicians and Kansas City-based performers to round out the series’ offerings.

A distinguished band director and teacher at WHS, Chuck Appleton has decided it is his time to retire. Of his total 31 years of teaching, 23 of those have been here at WHS, with the other eight spent at Dixon.

The University of Central Missouri Department of Theatre will be presenting a production of Comedy Of Errors by William Shakespeare April 21-24 at 7:30 pm and April 25 at 2:00 pm in the Highlander Theatre.

The Warrensburg Arts Commission, in partnership with the Eclectic Cafe, 90.9 The Bridge, Missouri Arts Council, Johnson County Historical Society, Friends of Music, and local businesses, is pleased to announce the Spring Concert Series.
All performances in the Spring Concert Series begin at 7:00 PM in the historic old Johnson County Courthouse, 302 North Main, Warrensburg. The first three concerts will be held on Friday nights in May, with the finale being held on the first Thursday in June.
