Master Mime and Choregrapher David Barker entertained over 1,300 PK-3 elementary children during his 3-day residency with UCM's Performing Arts Series(PAS) during the Fall Season, through the PAS Arts Education Outreach Program.

The Community Music Program announces that registration for Fall lessons is now open.  They offer musical instruction in piano, strings (including guitar), all band/orchestra instruments, and voice for all students ages 5 - 18.

Registration runs through August 25, with lessons starting the week of September 2.

All lessons are private lessons save for the Strings Program classes.  They have 3 different classes for string students.  They are all taught by string instruction specialist Mary Lubaroff, who has 20 years of experience and currently works in the Lee's Summit school district.  The classes meet on Tuesday afternoons - Advanced Strings at 4:30pm, Intermediate at 5:15pm, and Beginners at 6:00pm.  All classes are held in the UTT Music building on the UCM campus.

Warrensburg Main Street presents the final concert in the 2014 Summer Concert Series,

Friday, August 22, starting at 6:15pm, on Pine Street in downtown Warrensburg.

Featured artists are Cowboy Bart & his Imaginary Band at 6:15pm, followed by The Travis Gibson Band at 8pm.

This event will also feature a beer garden.

Bring a chair, enjoy live music, food and beverages at this free event!

Funding provided in part by a Community Arts Grant from the Warrensburg Arts Commission.
