David Barker's "Mime Show" at UCM's Performing Arts Series

Master Mime and Choregrapher David Barker entertained over 1,300 PK-3 elementary children during his 3-day residency with UCM's Performing Arts Series(PAS) during the Fall Season, through the PAS Arts Education Outreach Program.

Warrensburg Arts Commissioners Jeff Imboden, Gary Grigsby, Christian Cutler and Rachel Terry recently attended the Professional Development Conference for Community Arts Leaders sponsored by the Missouri Association of Community Arts Agencies (MACAA) in Columbia, MO. The conference is an opportunity for arts agency and community leaders from across the state to meet with state arts leaders, network with other community arts leaders and to participate in professional development sessions.

Knob Noster fourth-graders Eleanor Merritt and Max Hunt teamed up to come up with a design for a sculpture honoring veterans to hang in the Lovinger Building at the University of Central MO in Warrensburg.

Their artwork was picked from 23 designs.

Warrensburg Arts Commission Offers Grants

The Warrensburg Arts Commission (WAC) is offering mini-grants through its Community Arts Grant Program, in the amounts of $250 up to $500, based on need and scope of project, to all eligible organizations, educators and individual artists who create well-planned, short-term projects, to be completed by September 30, 2016, that serve the cultural interests of the Warrensburg community.
